About Us
Gaiwan Ceramics is a new age ceramic studio, offering workshops, coaching passes, and flexible access for both budding enthusiasts and experienced potters alike. In an intricately designed lounge space, Gaiwain’s patrons will not only have access to a comfortable studio but to the world of Chinese tea.

Flexible studio access that works with your schedule
One key facet that differentiates Gaiwan from others is the flexibility of access to the space. Gaiwan will offer extensive time slots for potters to select from, and the customers can choose which times fit better with their schedule. The passes offer a more efficient method to ensure everyone with a pass has an opportunity to join, and each person will have a unique learning experience catered to their skill level.
The backdrop aesthetic of a Chinese tea lounge combined with our high standard of order and cleanliness makes our studio into a welcoming and warm environment to old and new patrons. The upkeep of any ceramics studio is challenging due to the inherently messy nature of the pottery art itself, but we believe that a studio space is a second home for many so we designed a space that is comfortable for you to work and socialize.

A workspace that looks as beautiful as the creations it brings forth

A thriving community where wheel meets tea
The community culture of Chinese tea is a lifestyle Gaiwan wants to foster in our area. Our capitalistic society prioritizes individualism and one’s capital success, resulting in a competitive and secluded vibe permeating everyday life. A prime example of this ideology is the infamous tea bag used at any coffee shop, office, and store. This little tea bag is built for convenience and a fast-paced lifestyle, where every minute is counted. However, tea should not be confined to this inhumane jail cell of filter grade paper, but free, loose, and to be enjoyed in a pot…Tea is to be shared by everyone, and every minute is not counted, but savored.. This is the very lifestyle that Gaiwan wants to propagate. We believe that a single pot of tea can not only warm your hands but warm the hearts.
